Fifth Annual Golf Tournament and Capital Campaign Kick-off

Wildcat Run Golf and Country Club graciously hosted our 5th annual Golf tournament in October, 2007. More than one hundred golfers enjoyed this fun-filled day. The weather was amazing and the course was pristine, as always.

Patrick Nolan from Fox news was our guest of honor and aided Margie feed the bidding frenzy for the amazing baskets which were auctioned.

This event was also the kick-off for out $450,000 capital campaign to build a residential center for "Journeys" our innovative Transition Program for women leaving the foster care system at age 18, who need additional preparation for independence.

Many thanks to Ellie Poole who makes this event happen each year and her wonderful band of tireless volunteers. Their hard work and dedication makes this a premier golfing tournament and resulted in us raising over $30,000 for Our Mother's Home and $25,000 towards our Capital Campaign - way to go!

Golfers await shotgun start for the golf scramble.

Ellie Poole, Marjorie Barden, Julia Burton and Jeanne Scovel participate in the golf tournament.
One of the many beautiful baskets that were raffled and auctioned. This one included an evening with notable sports personalities Jim Frey, Johnny Orr and Hank Greenwald.
